Green Driving

If you use the NorthTracker driving log, you can activate a feature called “Green Driving”, which provides information about driving behavior, emissions, and other data that can help you drive more environmentally friendly and reduce fuel costs.

Activate Green Driving (Driving behavior)

To activate this feature:

Click on → Device → Driving behavior → Check the box → SAVE

App:
Click on → Device → Functions → Driving behavior → Check the box → SAVE

Activate Green Driving (Speed limit)

To activate this feature:

Web:
Click → Device → Speed limit → Check the box → Select limit value → SAVE

App:
Click → Device → Functions → Speed limit → Check the box → Select limit value → SAVE

If you enable Alarm, a notification will be sent to the alarm recipient who receives security alarms for the device.

Driving behavior: How to interpret the data

After you generate a report (Environmental Report), you will receive a file containing various data fields. Here is what they mean:

Behavior: Rated 1–10, where 10 is the best score. Based on how you drive, including speed, harsh braking, rapid acceleration, and hard cornering.

Increased fuel consumption: Shows how much more fuel your vehicle used due to your driving behavior. Expressed as a percentage.

Distance: How far you have driven. Shown in kilometers (km).

Fuel consumption: Your total fuel consumption. Shown in kWh or liters.

CO₂ emissions: Your total carbon dioxide emissions. Shown in grams.

Extra consumption: The actual additional liters/kWh consumed due to driving behavior. Shown in liters or kWh.

Extra CO₂ emissions: The actual additional grams of CO₂ emissions caused by driving behavior. Shown in grams.

Extra costs: The additional fuel costs caused by driving behavior. Based on the fuel price you have entered in the system. Shown in SEK/NOK/DKK/EUR.
